The Wild Mountain Cafe Bennedict Review

Summary
Wild mountain cafe is a house that has been converted into a cafe, located in North Seattle. The atmosphere is that of a small slightly off-beat restaurant. If you like quirky mixed with good breakfast I would recommend giving Wild Mountain a shot. An excellent value.

Detailed Results
Eggs: 8
The egg portion of the bennedict was well prepared, the yokes were runny and the white was mostly cooked. the reason the eggs did not receive a 10 was due to the fact that more white was runny than desirable.

Hollandaise Sauce: 8
On the thin side but still excellent. Garnished with paprika and given in plentiful amounts. The sauce goes really well with the egg yoke. The flavor rings true wtih a healthy balance of tart. A truly rich flavor.

Muffin: 5
The muffin was thin and added a nice volume, it did what a muffin is suppose to do. It added volume and texture but didn't make the dish bland. Because I believe this was a standard english muffin I really can't give it much more than a 5.

Presentation: 6
Nothing too special, here the paprika always adds a nice touch.

The Palisade Bennedict Review

Overview:
The Palisade is a fairly nice marina side Seattle restaurant. I have dinned here and tried the steak and lobster and have been happy with the results. The following review is only that of the Eggs Benedict and should not reflect my experiences of the wait staff, ambiance, or view in anyway.

Summary:
This is a medium quality eggs Benedict at best with a shockingly bland flavor. The presentation was the only factor that I would consider better than IHOP. Considering the price of the meal you would be much happier going somewhere else.

Detailed Results:
Eggs: 2
Completely cooked yokes firm in the middle, most of the egg was lost in the poaching process.

Hollandaise Sauce: 5
The sauce was somewhat tart with a thick texture. The cook barely put enough sauce on for me to taste

Muffin: 3
The English muffin used was fairly large, thick and flavorless significantly reducing the overall flavor volume of the Benedict.

Presentation: 8
A fancy garnish was used making this a nice dish to look at.
